Worth it & getting there FIELD RATING
Easy · Day trip
Roadside · walk BEHIND the falls (summer)
Easy. ~2 hours from Reykjavík on the Ring Road, first big stop on the South Coast. Pay for parking; the loop behind the falls is open in summer (closed/icy in winter). Bring full waterproofs - you WILL get wet back there. Don't miss hidden Gljúfrabúi a short walk north.
